Korean Language Course

Course Information

In order to fulfill its role as a cornerstone of Dong-A University's global human resource development, the Korean Language Institute of Dong-A University has taught the Korean language to Koreans who wish to learn about Korean culture and has contributed to deepening their understanding of Korea through diverse experiences of traditional and popular Korean culture. In addition, the institute provides Korean language education to trainees who plan to enter universities or graduate schools, as well as information related to higher education, to support Korean students to devote themselves to their studies.

Beginner 1
  • Learn Hangul characters and pronunciation, basic sentence structure, and grammar.
  • Acquire essential skills for personal and informal situations, such as family and daily life.
Beginner 2
  • Study various grammar elements including particles and passive voice, along with idiomatic, abstract, and everyday expressions.
  • Explore Korean culture through legends, myths, and traditional holidays.
Intermediate 1
  • Learn about the realities of Korea (economy, society, politics) and various business language and knowledge.
  • Develop expressions suitable for various conversational situations, including formal expressions.
Intermediate 2
  • Achieve natural everyday conversation abilities and an understanding of the Korean thought process through idiomatic expressions.
  • Gain an understanding of Korea through topics such as culture, sports, entertainment, and broad cultural experiences.
Advanced 1
  • Understand various vocabulary changes and rhetoric to create natural sentences.
  • Comprehend news and newspapers and receive training for university and graduate school classes.
Advanced 2
  • Learn debate and argumentation skills, enhance vocabulary usage through unique expressions, and improve vocabulary proficiency.
  • Receive training in various topics' professional research and report writing.
